Spring Exam Information

With this school year almost over, students have exams that come around this time as well. Exams bring a lot of pressure and stress on students to do well. Final exams count as 20% of students’ final course grades which can make or break some students’ grades. To prepare students, below are listed some exam study tips and the final exam schedule to make this process a little easier.
Exam Study Tips:
-Manage your time
When studying for your exams, try to split up studying for each subject to keep your focus on one subject at a time.
-Get enough sleep
Try to at least get 8 hours of sleep to feel rested.
-Make flashcards
Use either paper or online flashcards to study, for repetition of your study subject.
-Reward yourself for your work
Studying for exams is not easy, so treat yourself when you accomplish your study goals.
The Exam Schedule:
-Teacher-made Exams
Wednesday, June 1 – students can expect exams in the 1st and 3rd blocks
Thursday, June 2 – students can expect exams in the 2nd and 4th blocks
-State-mandated Exams
Friday, June 3 – English II, Math 1, and Math 3 End-of-Course Exams only (9:00 – 1:00 pm)
Lunch is served from approx. 1:05-1:35
Students must have a signed note from a guardian to leave after lunch and may only be dismissed when the school testing session has ended. Students who do not have an EOC scheduled will report to the cafeteria for a supervised study hall.
Monday, June 6 – Biology & CTE Exams
9:00 – 12:00 pm – 1st block Biology and CTE classes (and some EOC make-ups)
12:05 – 12:35 pm LUNCH
12:40 – 4:15 pm – 2nd block Biology and CTE classes
Students in attendance without exams will report to the cafeteria for supervised study hall.
Tuesday, June 7 – Biology & CTE Exams
9:00 – 12:00 pm – 1st block Biology and CTE classes (and some EOC make-ups)
12:05 – 12:35 pm LUNCH
12:40 – 4:15 pm – 2nd block Biology and CTE classes
Students in attendance without exams will report to the cafeteria for supervised study hall.
Wednesday, June 8 & Thursday, June 9 – Make-up Exams
Students in attendance without exams will report to the cafeteria for supervised study hall.
